Anemone Crab
Story behind the shot
The South Pacific is home to some of the most handsome tiny creatures in the World. My dive buddy and amazing spotter was looking closely at an anemone and called me over to show me this tiny Anemone Crab (Neopetrolisthes ohshimai). These little guys situate themselves on the outside of anemones and wait to feed on passing plankton. This photograph was taken in the shallow waters off Karumolun Island in the Russell Islands group of the Solomon Islands.
