× Portrait of a Pygmy Seahorse < Prev BUY Favorite Next > Story behind the shot One of the most challenging but rewarding photographs I’ve ever taken. This tiny pygmy seahorse was only 2cm long, and was almost perfectly camouflaged against the backdrop of a like-colored sea fan. You can see the amber glow of a guide’s dive light that helped me to distinguish the seahorse from its background so I could take the shot. Photographed at a depth of 86 feet at Tanavula Point in the Florida Island group, Solomon Islands.
