Don't Feed the Foxes

A seemingly-overweight Catalina Island fox spotted near a location where cat food is left out, presumably to feed feral cats on the island.
This fox was much heavier than other foxes we saw on the island, which may be the result of its eating the cat food instead of its natural diet.
According to Conservancy biologists, consuming processed food that contain additives and doesn?t provide appropriate nutrition can cause serious health problems, or even death to wildlife.
