Story behind the shot
A scenic, palm-tree-laden beach near Honiara on Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands that we visited hours after diving on the wreck of a Japanese troop carrier not more than a hundred yards away. It’s hard to imagine that so much fighting during World War II happened in such a beautiful place.
