Roughsnout Ghost Pipefish (Solenostomus paegnius) Portrait
Story behind the shot
A rare Roughsnout “Rufus” Ghost Pipefish (Solenostomus paegnius), also known as the Irish Setter. This small (about 4cm) pipefish was found almost perfectly camouflaged near a small patch of red algae on a sandy patch of reef 60’ underwater. Photographed off the coast of Kadavu Island in Fiji. Special thanks to Janice for the incredible find!
